Signed to the newly formed London label in her late teens she quickly scored a massive world-wide number one hit with 'Music! Music! Brewer had a long performing career spanning over thirty years which also included a short stint as a movie star. She later recorded with Duke Ellington chicago musical london and other top jazz musicians, but the songs featured here, recorded early in her career, were mainly fun, novelty numbers appealing to the teenage market.
